The DarkWorld IRC Network (DWIRC) is a global Internet Relay Chat network, connecting thousands of users worldwide in real-time. Since its launch in 2021, DarkWorld has grown into an active hub for discussion, collaboration, gaming, and community-driven projects.

DarkWorld IRC focuses on stability, privacy, and user experience, offering modern IRC services, multilingual support, and enhanced security features. Whether you are a casual chatter, a developer, or a community organizer, DarkWorld IRC Network provides tools and infrastructure to stay connected seamlessly.

Network Overview

DarkWorld IRC Network operates multiple servers strategically located across the globe to ensure low-latency connections for all users. The network uses round-robin DNS for load balancing, automatically connecting users to the fastest available server.

DarkWorld IRC started as a small private network in 2021 and rapidly expanded to include public channels, bot services, and community-driven projects.

Channel Guidelines

To keep DarkWorld enjoyable for everyone, please follow these basic rules in all channels:

Getting Started

To join DarkWorld IRC:

  1. Open your IRC client (HexChat, irssi, WeeChat, mIRC, etc.)
  2. Connect to irc.darkworld.network or a regional server
  3. Use port 6667 (non-SSL) or 6697 (SSL)
  4. Register your nickname via NickServ
  5. Join popular channels like #DarkWorld, #DWBots or #DWGames

Technical Requirements

To connect to DarkWorld IRC, your client must support:

  • IRC protocol โ€“ Any standard IRC client (mIRC, HexChat, irssi, WeeChat, KVIrc, etc.)
  • TLS 1.2+ โ€“ Required for SSL ports (6697, 443)
  • Optional: SASL PLAIN/EXTERNAL for automatic NickServ identification

Minimum client versions (recommended):

  • mIRC 7.55+
  • HexChat 2.14+
  • irssi 1.2+
  • WeeChat 3.0+
