DWFree ZNC – VHosts

VHosts (virtual hosts) allow your IRC hostname to appear as something custom or cloaked, instead of revealing your real IP or generic ISP host.

DWBouncers provides VHosts to eligible DWFree ZNC users based on availability and approval.

📌 Who Can Request a VHost?

Only users with an **active DWFree ZNC** account may request a vHost.

Requirements:

• You must be using your ZNC regularly
• You must be connected via IPv6 (Free ZNC is IPv6 only)
• You must NOT be violating any network or service rules

✉️ How to Request a VHost

1. Join `#DWBouncers` on `irc.darkworld.network` 2. Use the following command:

```text !vhost <desired.vhost.example>

Example:

!vhost irc.user.fiznetwork

✅ VHost Rules

Please follow these guidelines when requesting a vHost:

No offensive, abusive, or impersonating hostnames

Dots . are required to make it a valid hostname (e.g., user.darkirc.net)

Underscores _ are NOT allowed (use hyphens - instead)

Hostnames must not violate trademarks or pretend to be part of staff

One vHost per ZNC user

🔄 How Long Does It Take?

Requests are usually processed within 24–48 hours

Stay connected after making the request

Approved vHosts will be applied automatically to your ZNC

🛠️ Changing or Removing VHost

You may request a new vHost after 7 days

To remove your vHost, type: !vhost remove

🧑‍💻 Support ZNC Users

If you have a Support ZNC, you may request advanced or reserved vHosts. See: DWBouncers/SupportZNC/Vhosts

❌ Abuse Policy

Any misuse of vHosts (e.g., evading bans, impersonation) will result in:

Immediate ZNC termination

Network-wide bans

Blacklisting from future requests
