These are general rules and guidelines for network Admin & Operators to act & take actions in the light of these guidlines. These rules also provide protection to users & channel owners against any abuse by netadmins & opers.


OPERS Guidelines:

Operators are the key persons who maintain and help in smooth running of network operations and its management tasks. There are some general guidelines for DarkServ.Network operators. Most important thing is to solve problems with discussion and guiding users without use of Oper Powers.

ADMINS Guidelines:

  • General guidelines for Network Operators are also for Net-Admins, so all network admins should also follow Operator’s guidelines.
  • Every net admin should intimate in advance to network staff & over network with an announcement regarding upgrade/update/maintenance of server & its estimate downtime.
  • Net Admins are not allowed to give themselves flags (QOP/SOP/AOP/VOP) over Users Owned Channels or Network channels by using their powers.
  • Net-Admins are not allowed to GLINE/KLINE/KILL any user for personal reasons.
  • If any admin does these things will be considered as an abuse of power, action can be taken in this regard by network management.
  • Addition of a new Operator by any net-admin over its server should first consult with other net-admins. If any net-admin have objection, then voting can be done to solve this matter.
  • Every Operator must have a Sponsor Admin. If Sponsor admin decides to un-sponsor /remove the operator from its server, then other admins have the option to sponsor/add that Operator over their server by following the preceding rule of no objection by other net admins.
  • If there is any matter that admins are unable to get guideline from rules can be discussed in #Management channel over network.
