Fishbot is a humorous and entertaining bot available network-wide on Darkworld IRC. Any user can invite it to their channel using:

History of Fishbot[edit | edit source]
Fishbot is inspired by the legendary Fishbot scripts that have been circulating in IRC communities since the late 1990s and early 2000s. These scripts originated as joke bots on networks like EFnet, DALnet, and QuakeNet. The idea behind Fishbot was to add humor to IRC conversations by responding with random funny phrases, insults, and witty replies.
Initially, Fishbot was created using mIRC scripting and later adapted for Eggdrop bots. Over time, different versions emerged, some featuring customizable responses, learning abilities, and even AI-generated jokes. Today, Fishbot remains a classic and nostalgic element of IRC culture, keeping the tradition of text-based humor alive.
